We need more innovation in storytelling. Storytelling isn't a fictional tale, it's a way of conveying information that drives engagement and curiosity.
Today storytelling is done, through movies, books, blogs, microblogging, videos, or games. The use of a website has been about integrating one of these methods in it and displaying them in a fancier way, without using its power. Story games are quite fascinating, as it's the mixture of the creator's guidance and players' quest to find them.
Another form of storytelling for the non-fictional topics is by showing through example, which is quite engaging but not the best kind.
An interactive blog is a middle ground, where a part of it is to explain a concept by interactivity. Harmony Square is a good example, it is about how social hatred gets spread. Another example will be Bandersnatch which takes you on a quest.
This will become a hot genre in content creation, an immersive experience of ideas.
